2017 Polar Plunges
WILL YOU FREEZE’EM FOR A REASON?
Don’t miss out on your chance to plunge into one of Alberta’s icy lakes to support Special Olympics.
The Polar Plunge challenges people to bravely jump into one of Alberta’s frozen lake waters in numerous locations. It’s a great way for everyone—individuals, organizations and businesses—to get involved in supporting Special Olympics Alberta.
Sign up today and raise a minimum of $75 to plunge and prepare to get a taste of intense arctic blast to your core.
This chilling event happens only once a year! Grab some friends, make a team and get ready for the coolest party you can have on a frozen lake.
You have four opportunities to take the plunge across the province. Plungers must raise a minimum of $75 to jump to frozen glory. Plungers can raise additional funds, earning them extra incentives along the way. Each plunge is a different party you can be part of!
Registration is now open for the 2017 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics!
Over 300 plungers from across Alberta raised more than $100,000 for Special Olympics Alberta in 2016 and we know we can do better than that!
For 201 we are raising our goal to $250,000 and we know we can do it! There are three events:
- Edmonton: January 22nd at Summerside Lake
- Lethbridge: February 4th at Nicholas Sheran Lake
- Calgary: February 25 at Arbour Lake
- Medicine Hat: March 11th at Family Leisure Centre
