PROVINCIAL RIDE – 2016
The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run 500km Bike Ride for Special Olympics Alberta saw law enforcement officers cycling from Lethbridge, Grande Prairie and Calgary to Edmonton to help raise awareness and funds for people with intellectual disabilities.
Lethbridge Correctional Service, Alberta Sheriffs, Lethbridge Police Service, Animal Services, Blood Tribe Police and Taber Police Service pedaled 500km from Lethbridge. They stopped at Free Our Finest in Calgary on June 17 to meet the Grande Prairie law enforcement members then continued their journey to Free Our Finest in Edmonton South on June 18.
Thank you to all the riders that raised over $30,000 for Special Olympics Alberta programs. A big thank you to those that supported this event as well as the many sponsors.
