2017 Free Our Finest Edmonton

On June 16th our Finest were raised up at both Cabela’s locations in Edmonton to embark on being confined for 53 hours to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Alberta.

They danced, sang and participated in water fights!  The public came out to take part in many demonstrations such as Junior Training camp, Fish & Wildlife exhibits and the Explosive unit.  Thanks to many generous donors we were able to raise over $10,000!

Without the support of our partners this fundraiser would not be possible.  Thank you to King Scaffolding and Scafom Canada for providing the scaffolding for our Finest, Maple Leaf Foods, M&M Meats, the Sherwood Park Sawmill, Cabela’s and the many volunteers and Officers that donate their time for our Athletes!

Law Enforcement Torch Run is Special Olympics' largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle internationally. In Alberta, 18 agencies in 117 communities contribute to LETR efforts annually, not only with events, but as Guardians of the Flame ensuring the delivery of the Special Flame of Hope to the opening ceremony of Provincial Games and sending off our local athletes to National and World Games.
