2017 500 km Provincial Ride

Event Details

The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run 500km Bike Ride for Special Olympics Alberta will have law enforcement officers cycling from Lethbridge and Fort McMurray to Edmonton to help raise awareness and funds for people with intellectual disabilities. The event is set for Friday, June 16.

Lethbridge Correctional Service, Alberta Sheriffs, Lethbridge Police Service, Animal Services, Blood Tribe Police and Taber Police Service will be pedaling 500km from Lethbridge and meeting other law enforcement agencies in Edmonton, Alberta.

Riders will arrive in Edmonton on Saturday, June 17th at Cabela’s South at 6150 Currents Dr. NW.

Individual riders who raise funds will have a chance at the following incentives
$400- Cycling Jersey
$700- All of the above and Jacket
$1000- All of the above and Shorts



Law Enforcement Torch Run is Special Olympics' largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle internationally. In Alberta, 18 agencies in 117 communities contribute to LETR efforts annually, not only with events, but as Guardians of the Flame ensuring the delivery of the Special Flame of Hope to the opening ceremony of Provincial Games and sending off our local athletes to National and World Games.
