2017 World’s Largest Truck Convoy – Calgary
The World’s Largest Truck Convoy for Special Olympics is an annual event which unites law enforcement and truckers to raise funds for Special Olympics athletes. 2017 marks the 16th anniversary of the inception of the event. Since it began in 2001, more than 15,000 trucks – big rigs to dump trucks – have traversed more than 8,000 km.
CONGRATULATIONS TO TRI-LINE CARRIERS FOR SUBMITTING THE WINNING BID TO LEAD THE CONVOY!!
Previous participants can attest to how rewarding taking part in the Truck Convoy is:
“I had a very rewarding experience participating in the Truck Convoy for Special Olympics. This was my second year participating in the Convoy and I was fortunate to have an athlete ride along with me this year. I was also the lead truck pulling Bison Transports new Special Olympics Trailer. It was awesome hearing about all the athletes wanting a ride in it.
It is a very rewarding experience to be a part of, and it is amazing talking to and getting to know some of the athletes. I encourage anyone thinking about it to join us next year!”
