WE WANT TO CELEBRATE YOU!

We are holding the 2019 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Alberta Kick Off.  Not only are we providing some valuable sessions and speakers, we want to this opportunity to CELEBRATE YOU and all you have done for Special Olympics!

October 19th 7:00 pm – Meet & Greet

October 20th 8:00 am-4:00 pm – Conference

October 20th 6:00 pm – Recognition Banquet

A variety of sessions will be offered, covering topics ranging from Organizing an Event to Program Collaboration with other regions. This is also a unique opportunity to network with Torch Run officers, Special Olympics affiliates, and volunteers throughout the province! We are providing breakfast and lunch, and this year we are also holding an Awards & Recognition Dinner evening to celebrate our many volunteers and sponsors.

The first 6 registrants from each region (outside of Edmonton region) will receive free accommodations for Friday and Saturday night (based on double occupancy).  These reservations will be handled by Lorrie Sitler and she will notify you right away if you qualify for the free room.

Accommodations Available

Rooms have been blocked at the Executive Royal Hotel (8450 Sparrow Dr, Leduc) for Friday, October 19th and Saturday, October 20th at a rate of $94 (plus tax) for the night.

Law Enforcement Torch Run is Special Olympics' largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle internationally. In Alberta, 18 agencies in 117 communities contribute to LETR efforts annually, not only with events, but as Guardians of the Flame ensuring the delivery of the Special Flame of Hope to the opening ceremony of Provincial Games and sending off our local athletes to National and World Games.
